Mount of Olives (Har HaZeitim) overlooks the Temple Mount and is the world’s oldest Jewish cemetery. It has been in use since Biblical times and is the burial place of many prominent figures from Jewish history. When Jerusalem was under Jordanian control from 1948-1967, most Jews were unable to access this important site. During this time, some 38,000 graves were destroyed. After Israel regained Jerusalem in the Six Day War, there were major efforts to restore the area.

On April 11, 1909, several dozen families gathered on sand dunes to establish Israel’s first modern Hebrew city: Tel Aviv. What began as a small suburb of the overpopulated Jaffa soon developed into Israel’s economic and cultural hub. It attracted many European immigrants who were trained in the modern Bauhaus style of architecture, which heavily influenced the design of the city. In 2004, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its 4000+ Bauhaus-style buildings.

Meet Gita Margolese, Hasbara Fellow at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec! Israel Engage was an incredible experience and I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to participate in it. During the 3-day conference, I learned so much about what it takes to be an advocate for Israel on campus, on social media, and in your everyday life. I especially enjoyed hearing from fellow students who shared about their journeys to becoming Israel advocates on social media.... I look forward to using the skills, resources, and network that I have gained to continue advocating and fighting for Israel on my university campus. #HumansofHasbara

Following Benjamin Netanyahu - ’s secret visit to Saudi Arabia, PA officials expressed their objection towards Saudi Arabia and Israel normalizing relations. Peace requires at least two partners. This is another example of Palestinian officials refusing to work with Israel towards establishing peace. More information available at bit.ly/3kZY4Ff
