We plan The Great Hatch each year in March as well as workshops and follow-up social events. For all 2019 participants, get ready for The Great Hatch 2019's ALUMNI EVENT! At this event, we want to catch up with you and your team and get our community of innovators together again. We also want to offer you the chance to apply for the MDDC Impact Award ($1500). Details have been emailed out. The event itself will take place August 15 from 6-8PM and dinner will be provided! Don’t miss our 4-Week out Follow-Up event on Wednesday, April 3rd at 7:00pm, at the Porto Cafe (2207 Cambie St, Vancouver V5Z 2T5). After such a successful weekend, we hope many of you can take this time to re-group and continue the discussion on new innovations in healthcare with the amazing and diverse people you’ve met! This is a night geared towards learning more about the medical technology and innovation field as well as what lies ahead for your project. Biomedical Engineering Design Award Deadline is this Sunday March 17th. The MDDC Awards for Excellence in Biomedical Engineering Student Design & Innovation encourages and recognizes student innovators in technologies relating to medicine and health care, including medical devices, systems, software, apps and assistive technologies. The three awards are:... Principal Award ($5,000) Award of Distinction ($2,500) Innovation Award ($2,500) The competition is open to individuals or teams made up of undergraduate, graduate students including medical interns or residents, enrolled in engineering, technology, or medical related programs at BC post-secondary institutions.
