Some good news possibly? Looking forward to opening our doors!!

Going for gold!! Let’s go Canada
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! 2020 was indeed interesting but also created some wonderful memories! Here’s to 2021 and new memories!
From the board and staff we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year. We can’t wait to open our doors again and see everyone!
Please see below for a note from council. Masks will now be mandatory when entering the rink. We thank you for your cooperation.
On behalf of the board and rink staff we’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone for their patience and support while we are trying to navigate all the new protocols. There have been many questions asked during the reopen process but the most frequent one that comes up is when is public skating opening?. The HSC board along with the OBCC board have had many conversations and have discussed many options and think we have come up with a pretty solid plan. We do plan on ...opening up public skating very soon but will be limiting it to 20 people. With the help of SCI’s life works students and teachers we will be setting up a QR code system so you can sign up for a public skating spot. That being said we’ll need help monitoring the doors at each rink during the public skates so we don’t go over the limit and that only the people who have signed up are attending. We’ve decided to give SMHA parents, Ringette parents and figure skating parents the option of signing up for one of these shifts instead of a canteen shift. Please be patient as we set up the website and get everything flowing. Watch for updates via emails from your association and both rinks Facebook pages. Lots happening for our re-opening!
Attn skating families.... There has been a push from parent feedback regarding spectators in the rink. It has now been changed to allow ONE parent spectator in the rink with each skater. We are doing our very best to be accommodating to families and compliant with covid rules. We heard your concerns and addressed them. There will be ongoing changes as the season progresses and we are on your side. But remain vigilant in our responsibilities. Thank you for understanding everyone Please visit www.hazelridgeskatingclub.com for registration Happy 20/21 skating season!
A note from Hazelridge Skating Club: Hazelridge Skating Club will be opening registration as of Monday September 21. There will be new protocols and regulations in place. Our pre-can class will look different this year. One parent/guardian is required to be on the ice with their child due to coachs following social distancing rules. There is no additional registration fee required for parents aside from the skate Canada fee of $43.70... We will also be offering a skills development program ideal for hockey and ringette players to further expand their skating techniques. This class will not include stick handling or drills as it focuses directly on skating skills. Unfortunately there will not be a waiting area for parents during this time due to covid so we ask parents to wait in their vehicle during class time. If you have any questions regarding registration or about any of our programs please contact one of our Exective members. We look forward to a new, albeit different, season and seeing everyone on the ice again. Have a great day everyone Please head over to their website to register https://www.hazelridgeskatingclub.ca/
We are so happy to be opening our doors back up!!! Please join us on Saturday September 26th at 3:00 for our AGM. Weather permitting we’ll have the meeting outside.
Looking for some feedback from our hockey and skating families.
While we are all about creative expression we’d appreciate it if it wasn’t done on our building. If anyone has any idea who vandalized the rink please get in touch with someone on the executive.
Sad news coming out of the hockey community today.
Hockey Manitoba has approved the return to play plan. Please stay tuned and be patient for updates from SMHA, HSC and OBCC as we plan for everyone’s return. We can’t wait to open up again!!
