There are children in HMHA that were at practice last week that are currently isolating and getting tested after coming into contact with a Covid positive person. Until conclusive test results are received by the family, practice is still able to run. Please remember practice is run under phase two guidelines with strict social distancing on and off ice, mask, and no parents except for 3 helpers in u7 and u9. Coaches will do their best to keep kids separated on and off ice. No child is obligated to attend practice if parents feel they would rather not take any chances.
After the announcement today of renewed restrictions across the province, HMHA practices will still happen at regularly scheduled times however no parents are allowed in the building. This includes the U7 and U9 practices as well.
A reminder there is no practice tomorrow, Wednesday Nov 11, due to Remembrance Day.
Hello, HMHA skills sessions have been canceled for today. there is an issue with the plant. please share.
HMHA skill development sessions return Friday October 23rd. U7* - U11 from 4:30pm - 5:30pm. U13 - U18 from 5:45pm to 6:45pm. Cost to attend is $5. We will be focusing on power skating for the first couple months. These run every Friday. *We ask that any U7 players be able to skate as the drills are more advanced and there are not enough coaches to give individual attention.
The Hockey Canada Foundation has launched its new $1 million Assist Fund to provide registration fee subsidies for qualified Canadians who are registered with Hockey Canada-sanctioned associations for the 2020-21 season. As a prominent national sports organization in the country, it’s Hockey Canada’s mission to lead, develop and promote positive hockey experiences, said Tom Renney, chief executive officer of Hockey Canada. It’s a goal that’s more important than ever, as CO...VID-19 has had a challenging impact on so many young people from coast-to-coast-to-coast. The Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund allows Canadians who meet the criteria and need a financial hockey assist to apply for up to $500 in registration fee reimbursements per player, provided the registration is with a Hockey Canada-sanctioned association. To enhance the impact and support for local communities, Canadians can also donate to the Assist Fund, with 100% of all donated funds reaching young Canadians. The Hockey Canada Foundation will absorb all administration costs associated with the fund. Donations can be made at HockeyCanada.ca/AssistFund.
