In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful *The Crescent Moon of the Month of Rabi al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.* The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Sunday, October 18th, 2020, will be the first day of the month of Rabi al-Awwal, 1442 A.H. for the entire region of North America.... This determination is based on the fact that there were verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 in Miami and Orlando, Florida. Asalam o Aliakum Please read the following before deciding to register. - Due to COVID 19 restrictions, we have a limited in person capacity for 40 men... and 40 women. - If you are under 10 or over 60 years age then we request you to stay home or use the 'In Car' option. - There is 'In car' option available where you can listen to the majlis via FM while sitting in your Car at the Hussainia parking lot. You dont need to register for this option. - For those utilizing 'In Car' option; you will be able to watch the majlis on a TV installed in the parking lot - Due to limited capacity, please register only if you think that you are going to attend - Please avoid duplicate registration - If you are registered but you dont show up within 15 minutes of the start of the program then your spot will be given to those who have come to Hussainia but have not pre registered. - Wearing a mask/face covering while inside Hussainia is mandatory. - The form will close once we reach our maximum number of registrants. - Most importantly, if you are sick or showing symptoms of COVID 19 then please stay home. Since there is limited space so we recommend that you register yourself at the earliest Please do remember that each 'In Person' attendee needs to fill out a form; one form per person.
