Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be able to submit an interest to sponsor form online for three weeks, between 12PM EDT on October 13 and 12PM EST on November 3.... This year, the potential sponsors will be randomly selected and selected applicants will receive an invitation to submit an application. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the sponsor's income requirement has also been relaxed; the income requirement for the 2020 tax year will be temporarily reduced to the minimum necessary income, instead of the minimum necessary income plus 30%. Also, the 2020 PGP intake will accept a maximum of 10,000 applications for processing. In 2021, Canada will open a new intake of interest to sponsor forms to accept a total of 30,000 new applications.
