Dear Headlines Salon Clientele, Here at Headlines Salon your health and safety are top priorities, along with the safety of our staff and families. As you are aware there is a growing public health risk surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and we are closely monitoring the situation every day.... GREAT NEWS!! We have been given the green light to reopen Friday, June 12th, 2020. We at Headlines and The Georgian Wellness Centre have provide safe infectious disease control measures and assure the public that our facility operates according to Health Canada & Ontario Public Health requirements. The New Normal Proper use of mask is required. Appointments only. 705-441-0432, Headlines Salon 705-444-6658. We ask clients to wait in their cars, or at entrance for their stylist to guide them through the new safety protocols. If you have had symptoms in the last 10 days (fever, chills, newer or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle or headache, we will direct you to stay at home and self isolate, we will gladly rebook your appointment in two weeks time. It is impossible for your stylist to provide services with physical distancing so we will be wearing mask to protect you from us! You will notice your stylist maybe less chatty :) The Salon has a new look providing physical distancing between clients. It is important to add that clients will see a slight price increase on some of our services. Safety is always our number one priority, these steps, along with your personal cautiousness, will help Headlines play our part in keeping our community safe and healthy. Stylist will be operating on designated cutting and colour/perm service days. We ask all clients visiting the Salon for designated cut day to have their hair pre-wash. Good morning! According to the news yesterday, Doug Fords list of businesses to reopen in phase 2 will be announced next week. According to the news, we have learned that Salons could open in Ontario base on regions with less cases of covid-19. This may be welcoming news for Collingwood and other rural areas. Salons were mentioned, and that we must prepared :D

Hello and I hope everyone is keeping well! Headlines Salon is constantly watching updates on possible Salon opening in Ontario. We have not got the green light yet, and before any decisions are made, we will have an appropriate plan that will secure the safety of staff and clients. A few products that are safe and help keep the roots maintained, until the doors are open for business again :) Shoppers Drug Mart often carry these products, but they were easy to find on line. Hope this helps, in the mean time I will check into possible temporary colour retouch kits with suppliers, and availability. Please message me via Facebook, or [email protected].

Encouraging people to embrace their natural hair colour during this pandemic because salons have closed, is not easy. Please understand a greater worry for us is that a client has an accident, reaction, or exposure to a chemical burn should a product react with another. We also understand that looking good, can also make you feel good, and thats just good for ones health! So our recommendations for our clients in need are; a gentle semi-permanent options like semi-permanent ...foam or powder for root touch ups. Several store products are made available on line, or in store. We must remember these colours are temporary and dont lift, just deposit a water based product that can be wash out. We also must remind ourselves that we are in this together, and like a temporary colour, this situation is temporary also :) Stay safe! Stay turn for recommendations to follow. See more
