Hive mind: are there any Toronto based Sound Recordists with their own SD and Sennheiser MKH416 boom-mics? Mainly daytime-interior, shooting at night- in a Diner. Might be one or two day shoot, hoping to pick up exteriors too.. DMs welcomed! ... PS, Follow-focus 1st AC is also needed, I have a 2nd AC already. PSPS, open to hiring a boom mic setup bout would rather have a pro with own-gear ;)

'Exposure', on Everest one can die of it, in showbiz, lots of people work for free for it. In Cinematography, one lives or dies by it, and now is an ideal time to get on top of the science of exposure, and get also, to grips with the finest light meter Sekonic has ever made! My old 1980 Sekonic on the left is war-beaten and busted up- but still works. To 1980 standards it's state of the art, but cameras are so much faster now, with more dynamic range.... I'm thrilled with this, and it even got here fast from Michigan! I now must update the firmware etc, as a load of modes are not yet onboard... But ya, its rully sweet. A future of confident readings awaits!

This is an advert we shot last month, for Respira Air Purifying Garden. I play 'dad' with mom and daughter, walking home to make dinner. Great crew and fellow players! Especially the kid playing 'daughter'. So far this year, it is the only Filming that hasn't been cancelled!

I was luck to meet and shoot the band PINS 2016 at Mama Roux's Birmingham. Shot on Ilford HP5 ( pushed to 1600iso ) with a Praktica LTL3 and Helios 44M 50mm f2. The push really accentuates the film grain- very Joy Division look. I miss shooting music gigs a lot more than I thought I ever would!
