A personal favourite from today's session. It's time to start thinking about January - I can't think of a better time than 2021 for a FRESH start with a new headshot.

Generally the first thing a client tells me when they show up for their headshot session is how terrible they are at having their photograph taken. The last thing they typically tell me is how much fun they had. Mission accomplished. I am taking headshot appointments through the first week of December and then I will be closing the studio until January.

It's been headshot after headshot after headshot session here at the studio, and every client is bringing their A game. Just a note that the studio will be closed for headshots between October 1st and November 1st while I transform the studio for our children's Christmas sessions. Headshots should be a genuine reflection of your personality. Many times clients will comment that they could never do what I do. Drawing genuine expression out of people in a short period of time can be tough, but it something I truly love.

It was actually my husband who years ago suggested that I should start offering headshots. It's thrilling to have someone in front of your camera and be able to draw out their personality and provide them with something amazing in 30 minutes. I work with my clients on body language, facial expression, styling and more. I stand with them in the mirror demonstrating how to change your angles and your face slightly to get better results and when they're in front of the camera they rely on me to nail it.
