Love’n the East Cost support, Merry Christmas to Kezia and Travis Duff and the rest of the Duff family.
We shipped a couple big orders yesterday! Thanks for the support! This is all we have left til the new year when our new stuff comes in.... Its 10 business days to ship across Canada so get your orders in soon for Christmas!
SOLD SOLD SOLD........ 2007 YZ450F, bittersweet for me, I love this bike but it’s replacement will be here soon and I’m pretty excited about it..... stay tuned.
1978 Bultaco GM Frontera, getting the swing arm and frame ready for powder coating, noticed this repair that was done on the kickstand bracket. I used what they had started with, ground out the cracks and welded, should look good once coated. Getting closer...
Learned something today, between 76/77 Bultaco changed a lot of things. This was towards the end of production for a lot of models, they were pulling parts from everywhere and building bikes. So with this motor having the short style studs it would have had a milled head that would accept these ultra rare cap screws. Solution? Longer studs, pre 76 style, thanks to my good friend Bill Ripley for helping me out with this issue.
Love seeing this, Kyle Kerr all the way from Cape Breton Island N.S, showing us some HeadStrong support on his beautiful white SG.
Employee of the month stripping parts off the 1978 RM250C.
78 Bultaco Frontera 250 Gold Medal motor back from vapour blasting, couldn’t save the flywheels but have a set on the way...... getting closer.
Awe look how cute it is!
Finally , over a month to get here, Simons forks going on our 1977 RM125 works build, another piece of the puzzle, thanks again Rich Clark.
Bultaco Gold Medal parts arrived , we have everything for the motor to be assembled, off to vapour blasting first.....thank you Bill Ripley for all the help.
Another piece of the puzzle arrived, Moto X Fox swing arm for our 1977 RM 125 build...... front suspension on its way.... almost there.. thank you Rich Clark, another great piece.
What a great read, really shows how motorcycles bring people together and create a family bond that is still there over 40 years later.
Stay safe people
Finally.... been away from the shop for 3 weeks, nice to come home to these beauties, vintage refurbished Fox Air Shox for our 1977 RM 125 build, thank you so much Rich Clark, another perfect piece from you.
Finally got these installed, the alignment was off a few thousands of an inch. Not anymore, very happy with the look and the clearance on the tank, wanted them as close as possible.
1974 Penton 400 Mint, had the tank off today and noticed I was missing a tank rubber, I thought maybe it was stuck to the tank, flipped it over and found all of these signatures... Penton racing royalty right there. I’ve owned this bike for almost a year and never looked under the tank.
These are top quality builds, if you’re a Yamaha fan look no further than Restoration X Cycle, great bikes at great prices. Race, Ride or Show, these bikes have it all.. please share this post and help these beauties find new homes..
This thing is so cool, just sitting on the tank obviously..... original packaging with it, over 40 years old, I think .... love this stuff. Thank you Rich Clark
1978 Bultaco Frontera 250 Gold Medal, I have a lot of people wondering the status of this restoration, this bike is a basket case mechanically and cosmetically, but it is ultra rare and as a motorcycle enthusiast I believe it needed to be saved. I am not sure how this bike got to Canada let alone a barn in Saskatchewan, they were never imported to North America. The motor has been apart for a while , finding parts has been a fun challenge, but we found everything, I do enjoy hunting for rare parts, everything will be new inside and out on this bike, gonna be a hard one to part with but I will for the right price when the time comes $$$........
Employee of the month........
Happy New Year Everyone.....
