Either way, we all need to stretch out our bodies after each ride to stay healthy and keep our muscles and joints healthy. When we bike, we use muscles that we may not be used to using, and we sit in a position that is not optimal for good posture. 1Quad Roll - To roll out your quads, place a foam roller u...nder the front of your thighs while you lie face down, supported by your forearms. Roll from the tops of your thighs to just above your knees, making sure not to roll onto your knees, and then return to the top of your thighs. This is one repetition. Roll for 1 minute or 10 slow repetitions. 2Glute Roll - To roll out your glutes, cross one ankle over your opposite knee and place the foam roller under your hip/glute area. Roll forward and back and play around with the angle you are rolling at to target different muscles. 3Hip Opener - To open up the hips, come into a downward dog position by pressing down into the palms and lifting the hips up towards the sky. Lift up one leg and stack your knee over your hip, opening up through the hip. 4Chest Opener - Lie back with the foam roller under your upper back, arching your spine over the roller and bringing your head to the floor. You can place something under your head (or keep your helmet on) to support your head. 5Cobra - To come into cobra pose, come to lie on your front with your legs extended behind you, tops of the feet on the floor. Place your hands under your shoulders and keep your gaze down. On an inhale roll your shoulders down your back and list your chest off the mat as far as is comfortable. 6 Baby Squat - To come into a yoga squat, take a wide stance and point the toes slightly outwards. Sink your bum down as far as you can comfortably go. If you are a ways from the floor, use a block or other support under your sitting bones to support you. 790/90 - Sit with your knees bent and feet wide and planted on the floor. Drop your knees over to one side, hold and then slowly move to the other side. 8Thread the Needle - Come into a table top position with your hips over your knees. On an inhale, lift one arm up, opening up your body to the side. As you exhale, thread that arm underneath your other arm and come to rest on the side of your shoulder.
