The benefit of poetry for (re)creating and maintaining well-being is becoming increasingly acknowledged. The National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health, through the Health Arts Research Centre, has supported the League of Canadian Poets to develop a poetry chapbook celebrating Indigenous writers in Canada. For this chapbook, the League of Canadian Poets partnered with the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Writers Circle Inc. to showcase the voices, community, and poetic writin...g of Indigenous writers in Saskatchewan, and of poets across Canada. This chapbook is part of a series by the League of Canadian Poets to publish exceptional Canadian poetry to increase visibility and recognition of the vibrant Canadian poetry community. The title of this chapbook is borrowed from Cooper Skjeie’s poem the dreamcatcher, which is published within. The chapbook is available free online: https://secureservercdn.net//Broken-Branch-online-version. , but a beautiful hand-sewn copy designed and sewn by Nic Brewer is available for purchase. All proceeds will go to the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Writers Circle Inc. To purchase a hard copy, or for more information, please visit https://poets.ca/publicati/lcpchapbookseries/broken-branch/
