Stay Connected Stay Active Stay Safe at Home Active Aging in Manitoba (AAIM) has partnered with CJNU Nostalgia Radio, to encourage you to move more sit les...s and feel better throughout your day while staying safe at home. Join us each day by Taking a Minute to Move right in your home. Try some practical and easy exercises that will get you moving and help you to be a bit more active. Take a Minute to Move, will air three times a day; 8:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 5:30 pm on weekdays; 9:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm on weekends, starting February 15 through to April 4, 2021. This initiative is supported by Manitoba’s Stay Safe at Home program. See more

Discover the joy of dance at home! No dance experience required! Baycrest and Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS), industry leaders in geriatric care and da...nce training, are offering FREE dance courses for older adults, which can be accessed from your home or wherever you are. Through its artistry and physicality, dance supports overall physical, emotional and social wellbeing. Regular dancing also helps develop skills and confidence, while enriching your day-to-day life through creative expression. Classes are taught by professional dance teachers from Canada’s National Ballet School, are accompanied by a live musician, and include a variety of movement options. The six-week pilot will include the release of one dance class about 20 minutes in length, each week, and content will develop physically and artistically from one class to the next. Classes are released weekly and available on-demand at your convenience.
