Recently, I made a presentation to young children about sugar and their main question was "If sugar is bad for us, what about fruits?" We need energy to fuel every cell in our body so we can live active lives. The sugar in fruits is a great choice because it comes with fiber, vitamins, minerals and a variety of phytonutrients from the plant.
This week, I'm talking about the Daily Dozen, the list of 12 items (foods and habits) to add to your diet and lifestyle every day, based on Dr Greger's recommendations.
