56hours of fasting/cleansing. I see the odd post saying fat doesn’t make you fat...the fact is too much fat absolutely can store as fat. Yes we need fats in our diets but to base a diet around fats is not a good idea, when we eat fats that will be the first fats our bodies use for energy(fatty acids)before our stored fat so the timing of when we eat them can in fact make a difference in our fatloss journey. Also keep in mind that all fats are not created equal, some can be detrimental to our health, at one time Hydrogenated Fats Aka Transfats were the fat of choice and were said to be healthy, that was a huge mistake, so just choose wisely. #healthylifestyle #topnutrition #getfit

Let’s chat about empty calories... every bite is either helping to make you Healthy or helping to make you Sick... First off let’s address the Fact that there is zero nutrition value to most all treats and many of the foods we eat/drink daily...what does that mean? Well it means that we are not truly feeding our bodies getting in the daily requirements of vitamins, minerals, proteins to sustain muscle to stay healthy, keeping us hungry looking for more... Lets di...scuss this more part...hang in there this may take a bit... If we are not getting our requirements of nutrients our brain will keep telling us we need more food, we only need so many calories daily and everyone is different depending on many factors...weight, gender, age, muscle mass, and of course activity level...we also Need a certain amount of Macros-Proteins, Carbs, Fats. Confused yet.. Trying to figure this all out most certainly can be confusing But if we want to be and stay healthy we should all get a good grasp on this... When we go over our needed Calories we likely will store fat, so eating empty calories daily will likely just store as fat as to get our daily required macros in won’t leave much room for garbage Unless we have a high daily output level meaning we actually exercise so there becomes the fat loss battle...trying to loose more fat than we put on while sustaining muscle and good health. By the way a hour on the treadmill busting your ass only burns about 350calories just to give you a visual example of what it takes to burn off the crap you just ate... Now you may be thinking well what if I’m eating less calories in the day than I’m using even if it is crap... Well we fall back into the trap of Not truly getting fed the nutrition your body requires to stay healthy and strong and it’s a great way to get sick and loose muscle...hope this helps understand reasoning behind dropping the empty calories and replacing with dense high nutrient calories and being honest with what your putting in you and your kids mouth. #nutritiongeek #knowledgeispower See more

What’s for breakfast? Please don’t tell me cereal... Break-Fast your breaking your fast, you just went 12hours with no food, we all intermittent fast every night...your body actually burns fat for fuel as we sleep, I thought that was a cool tidbit...we wake up needing to refuel our bodies to start the day, wouldn’t this be a great time to pour the nutrients in to have a kick ass day?? My shake for the last 4 years every morning!!! Mixed berries, avocado, organic greens and Plant based vanilla chia protein...and of course my essentials vitamin pac.

Happy New Year!! One priority we should all be making this year is our health...our natural immune system is the best defense against any disease/infection. Don’t underestimate how much diet and exercise can effect our health both physically and mentally.
