Starting my business over seven years ago was scary. Leading fitness classes and training clients was scary. Having 80% of my business stopped in its tracks (covid) was frigging scary! But, I faced each of these fears and worked through them. I've had failures. I've had success. I wouldn't have had any of it if I DIDN'T FACE MY FEARS. Don't let fear control your life! Do it scared! Have you noticed how many challenges are being offered online? Me too! Most of them are awesome and great for a reset. But, It can be overwhelming and you may be questioning...what do I do? Get rid of the overwhelm and get clear on what you need at this time of your life. 2020 messed with my head and knocked me on my butt more than once. It threw me off my game. I had a routine (too busy most of the time lol) and when Covid happened my normal routine was lost. I was like a ...fish out of water. I became overwhelmed mentally and emotionally with so many questions. I started reading other fitness professional's posts....looking outside for the answers to the many questions I had. In the end, I realized that I had been looking in all the wrong places. Don't get me wrong, the information I was reading was great. The fitness professionals I reached out to were amazing. But, the most important person I needed to be asking questions to was myself. What do I need at this point in time of my life? I realized I needed to go within. I needed to dig deep so I could move forward and it hasn't been pretty. Seriously, who wants to get to the root of the problem. It takes work, it sucks and you learn things you may not want to about yourself lol. When a person goes internal they start to see the layers of build-up and it can be scary and revert to going externally for answers. It’s something that can be controlled. Right? Even the covid fights that are happening. I question what is going on internally. Just so you know I’m not open to discussion on this topic until both sides can discuss with love, understanding, and the utmost respect for our medical professionals. I digress lol. Back to being overwhelmed and digging deep. Today I challenge you (yup I said challenge) to dig deep. Go within and ask yourself questions. Don’t stop until you get your answers. You may cry. You may get angry. You may say what the hell! I’m not doing this! It’s not easyI’ve been there! But, I grew tired of the stop and start of routines, making goals and not reaching them and then reaching them but reverting back to old ways. The only way to stop this is to go within and heal what is stopping you from being the best version of you! I think this is going to be a baking weekend in our home : ) Here's a quick, easy, tasty, and healthy bar recipe for you to make. Great "Health on the Go" nutrition! Crunchy No-Bake Bars Prep Tm: 15 minutes Chill 30 60 minutes Servings 12... Ingredients cup natural peanut butter or sunflower seed butter cup honey 2 tbsp coconut oil 1 cup quick oats cup hemp seeds cup unsweetened coconut 3 tbsp sunflower seeds 2 tbsp cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips How To: - In a medium-sized pot, low heat, melt together nut butter, honey, and coconut oil - Remove from heat and add the rest of the ingredients. - Press into 8x8 inch pan lined with parchment paper - Chill in the freezer for 30-60 minutes. - Take out and let sit for 2-3 minutes then cut into bars - Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days. They can be frozen for up to one month. - Eat chilled. Enjoy!

Just finished my workout and now its time to get busy in my kitchen. These cookies are so easy and yummy! Growing up my mom was always in the kitchen. She made bread from scratch, baked date filled oatmeal cookies, pies oh my! No wonder I was a chunky monkey lol. The kitchen was never off-limits and this is how my fascination with nutrition started and where I learned to bake - Tradition and baking skills passed down from mother to daughter. I like many women have spe...nt hours in the kitchen creating treats for loved ones. Fast forward to now and the way I bake has changed! I no longer use white or whole wheat flour or white sugar. Everything I make has a healthy twist, is satisfying and nutrient-dense. Time spent in the kitchen with your children is time well spent. You are teaching skills, building a relationship and creating memories. What better day than today, Sunday, traditionally a family day, to get in the kitchen and create this easy, no-bake cookie with your kids.
