Well, we find ourselves in a very different year this year! COVID has changed a lot of things including our cherished traditions at Christmas time. More than ever we are asking what the 'reason for the season' is? Follow along as Charlie Brown and his friends remind us of the real reason. Merry Christmas to all and His joy and peace upon us all.

Each year Carebridge helps to spread Christmas cheer to local children, and we would love your help. It's as easy as 1.2.3.4! 1. Pick an angel off our tree.... 2. Tell us which card you have taken. The card will describe the child's age, interests and any other Christmas wish details. 3. Shop, shop, shop! 4. Return the unwrapped gift to our office by Monday December 14 or directly to Carebridge by Wednesday December 16. Such a great time of year to warm the heart of a young person. Thanks for your generosity and your loving hearts! Merry Christmas!

We giggle every year as we post this video! So much fun to hear the kids voices as they tell of the birth of Jesus. Enjoy and share with friends and family and spread the joy. Merry Christmas and many blessings to you and your family during this most wonderful time of the year. A child of promise was born and everything changed.

We are open again, but... Greetings to everyone, praying that you are all well and anxious to get back to your chiropractic care with us. We are open for regular office hours, commencing Monday, June 8.... Monday 7 - 10 am 3 - 6 pm Tuesday 7 - 10 am 3 - 6 pm Wed 7 - 10 am 3 - 6 pm Thursday 7 - 10 am 3 - 6 pm Friday 12 - 3 pm Even though you may have scheduled appointments with us, you will need to call the office to confirm your next appointments. Due to social distancing requirements we will need to re-arrange some appointment times in order to accommodate everyone. Importantly, you will need to review the COVID screening questions and answer NO to all questions. Anyone with a positive screening will need to delay their chiropractic care and seek medical care and further testing. Booking appointments, coming into the office, and navigating your time in the clinic has changed and we have put together a brief video to guide you. We are excited to be back and doing what we love and helping all of you, as we have all had to deal with added stress over these last couple of months. We are sure that there are going to be speed bumps along the way and ask that you remain flexible (sorry, bad chiro joke) with us as we all figure this new thing out. Looking forward to seeing you all again and getting back to work, helping you with your health concerns! Blessings, Your Almonte Chiropractic team Live.Life.Fully Alive.

We are reminding everyone to make sure that you continue to connect with each other and avoid total isolation...heck call us. If you are struggling please reach out so we can figure out how to help you. We have had added... hours in during the week to keep up with demand and the requirement to practice with safety in mind. Hello Almonte Chiropractic Family! . Here are some stretches/exercises for you to reset your neck and upper back. . I put reset in quotations because there’s no such thing as a reset button on the human body, but it sounded good ... . This is for those of you that have been sitting all day at work, sitting more in general, or are feeling stiff in your upper back and/or neck. . The exercises: Shoulder rolls - this is going to really get things moving in your scapulothoracic junction, or in other words, where your shoulder blade sits on your rib cage! . Shoulder blade squeeze - this is an important exercise to get your EXTENSORS firing when we slouch, the muscles that hold us up are turned off and become lazy, so this is how you can wake them up!! . Trap stretch . Levator scapula stretch . Upper neck stretch - really hone in on the right areas and give yourself some love! . Hold each stretch for 10-30 seconds as a rule of thumb, but there is no perfect amount of time here, just listen to your body! . . . . . #almontechiropractictips #chirotips #posturerelief #healthyspine #healthyback #neck #upperback #mobility #stretch #strengthen #workfromhome #covid19 See more

Hey everyone...it's Kiley! Here is a little snapshot of what my family and I have been doing the past few weeks. For us, the secret ingredient has been PHYSICAL ACTIVITY!!! We have been finding creative ways to entertain ourselves in our own backyard. You can find us playing road hockey, tennis, soccer, catch, tag, biking, making obstacle courses, and...kick boxing! A big daily dose of fresh air has been great for our whole family. I miss you all and can't wait to see everyone again very soon.

Hey guys, with all the sitting that we are doing... I thought that I would send out a great remedy to being bent forward at the waist (sitting) with all that tightness in the front of the hips and likely more low back pain. As always go slow and start with a few shorter reps and build up. We hope your down time is productive. Stay safe. Stay healthy.... Live.Life.Fully Alive. See more

Diaphragmatic breathing! . This is a breathing technique used to reduce stress by activating your vagus nerve . How to:... 1 Lay on your back 2 Place one hand on your chest, and one on your belly 3 Inhale for a count of 5 seconds through your nose and really focus on expanding your belly as you fill for lungs with air 4 Exhale slowly through pursed lips 5 Try to keep your chest still . Practice doing 10 breaths every night right before bed, as you are laying there trying to drift off to sleep! . Laying on your back is the easiest position to learn how to breath this way in, and as you improve you can try doing it while standing and eventually while sitting! . This is the most ideal way to breath all the time, but it takes practice. . Doing slow, deliberate belly breaths will bring a sense of calm, so next time you are feeling stressed give it a try!! . . . . . #almontechiropractic #chiropractic #diaphragmaticbreathing #bellybreathing #stressreduction #vagusnerve #relaxation See more
