Matcha or Coffee lover ?? Personally, I'm lost without a good americano with a hit of oat milk but I love matcha too Reasons to consider matcha over coffee for your caffeine source ..... - you 're experiencing anxiety: matcha contains l-theanine, which gives you more of a calm alertness - you're suffering from IBS: coffee can be extremely irritating to some people with IBS, matcha tends to be less excitatory on the digestive system - you're experiencing brain fog and / or chronic fatigue: this could mean its time to kick caffeine altogether for a bit and give your adrenals a break. But with that said, matcha contains high amounts of antioxidants as well as l-theanine to help support your adrenals - you crash hard from coffee: matcha has a more gentle spike in energy than coffee and because of that the come down is also less intense - you're suffering from skin issues: matcha is antibacterial and packed full of antioxidants to feed your skin , where as coffee can typically be more dehydrating - matcha also contains nutrients that coffee lacks, along with fiber! All that aside what's your preference ?? See more

Digestion really doesn’t need to be a bunch of different supplements, in fact sometimes it’s as simple as slowing down. Here’s some of my fav simple ways to support digestion. warm lemon water : I always start my day with a cup of warm lemon water, it helps to prepare your body for digestion by altering the pH in your stomach. bitters : bitters also help to stimulate digestion! I tend to try to incorporate them into my meals. Some examples are arugula, dandelion, radi...sh and cruciferous veggies! If you need a little extra @stfrancisherbfarm bitters formula is amazing as well! slow down : eating when you’re stressed out or in a rush can have a major impact on the way your digestion works. It can lead to bloating, indigestion and more so it’s always important to be mindful and relaxed when you’re eating! limit liquid consumption during meals : think of your digestive system as a fire, when you put a lot of water on a fire, the fire goes out! For this reason I always try to do liquids 20 mins before/after meals. incorporate fibre every meal : fibre is a crucial component to digestion. It helps to keep digestion consistent and also bulks they stoop and draws our toxins/waste from the body. This can be as simple as adding more veggies to your plate or even chia/hemp/flax seeds! Seasonal allergies are something I really used to struggle with!! I still deal with them, but not as severely as I used to. Here are a couple of simple ways to help alleviate the severity of your seasonal allergies! Limit exposure: I feel like this speaks for itself, also make sure you’re washing your hands/face/hair when you come indoors and changing you before sitting on furniture or on your bed! Lymphatic Drainage: this will help to support your lymphatic system to... get pathogens out of your body! My fav ways to do this are dry brushing, skipping (rebounding movement) and facial cupping! More Fresh, Less Processed/Sugar: giving your body the nutrients it needs, rather than bombarding it with more inflammatory compounds is super important! Sleep: your body needs all the recovery time it can get, don’t deprive yourself. Stay Hydrated: this will help excessive lymph fluids and mucus to keep moving. Spirulina: helps to relieve inflammation and decrease histamine within the body. AVC shots: ACV helps to break up mucous in the body and support lymphatic drainage! I usually do 1tbsp of AVC, 1tbsp of lemon, some grated ginger and a bit of water Bromelain: bromelain is known to help break up inflammatory compounds and desensitize allergy response! Quercetin: quercitin is known to help reduce histamine release within the body, which reduces allergy-type response! I usually opt for this instead of allergy meds as it is a natural antihistamine. How do you manage your allergies?? See more

Happy Saturday anyone else ridiculously excited to see the sun or just me?? Happy to announce that after a week of being determined to make simple yet yummy gf/vegan donuts I have succeeded!! Ironically this recipe is inspired by my fav gf buckwheat pancakes! Banana Bread Donuts (gf/vegan)... Ingredients: - 1/2 cup of gf buckwheat flour - 2 ripe bananas mashed - 2 tbsp of coconut oil - 2 tbsp of water - 1 tsp of ground cinnamon - 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp of baking soda - 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar How to: 1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease your donut pan generously. 2. Mix all your ingredients together! 3. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into the donut tin (if you don’t have a piping bag use a plastic baggy and cut the tip off!). 4. Bake for 12 minutes, then remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan and transferring to a cooling rack! For the glaze I melted 1/2 a cup of @lilys_sweets chocolate chips and 1 tsp of coconut oil together and topped the donuts once they cooled. See more
