Very slow walk with the toddler today then a nice prenatal yoga class. Not worrying about my pace right now but I wanted to try out my new Garmin Even though I can't do too much right now, I'm really trying to stay active (walking at least 1km a day) in my last month of pregnancy and trying to get outside as much as possible with the cold weather Anyone looking forward to the New Year!? I am! If you're one for New Years resolutions don't make them too big so you end up se...tting yourself up for failure. A few personal tips If you workout maybe once or twice a week or sometimes not at all, dont make a goal to workout 7 days a week. It'll be too much, it may work for a month or so but you're going to burn out fast and may end up injuring yourself. So make a goal of 2 -3 days a week to start and once you're feeling good and it's easily a part of your routine add more. (Working in gyms for many years, I've seen crazy numbers of people signing up in January and the gym empty by March/April ) If you have a goal of eating healthy and eliminating sugar, don't try doing it all at once. Eliminating sugar 100% out of your diet is probably one of the hardest things you can do. (Trust me, it's hard) Start by eliminating some of the junk food you eat, then move onto healthier foods you didn't realize had sugar in them etc. Also work on meal prep, planning meals ahead of time is the best way to start eating healthy. AND REMEMBER "SUGAR FREE" PRODUCTS THAT HAVE ALTERNATIVES LIKE ASPARTAME ARE NOT BETTER, THEY ARE ACTUALLY WORSE FOR YOU If you have a goal of losing a certain amount of weight or running a certain distance, just remember it takes time! It's not going to happen over night, so making small goals with end times to reach small victories is the best approach! Think about SMART when setting resolutions. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time If you need help in any of your healthy resolutions, let me help! I can help with healthy eating/planning, new workouts, running goals ANYTHING! #newyearnewgoals #archealthandfitness

It's Christmas Eve! Looking back on 2020 what were your biggest Running accomplishments? I didn't get to do many races this year, only did one 5km in the Spring but I did manage to continue to run throughout the Summer and Fall while pregnant and pushing my favorite sidekick in a stroller Looking forward to completing more races in 2021 whether they are virtual or in person and putting on a few virtual races of my own. A little nervous about pushing 2 little ones in a stro...ller though What are your biggest Running accomplishments this year and what goals do you have for 2021?? Maybe I can help you reach those goals this year I love this Ornament Katie designed for me from Mercantile at Crocus Creek . Definitely a keepsake and how I will remember 2020 #merrychristmaseve2020 #iloverunning #motherrunner
