There’s an extra-special path near Barrington, Nova Scotia that’s evolved into a magical place, one where visitors can find empathy, inspiration and support. It’s the creation of Christy Conrad, who’s lived in Shag Harbour, N.S. for 40 years. Ms. Conrad loves to paint stones and rocks as a hobby. She needed something to do to stay positive during 2019 after she fell and tore ligaments in her leg. ... One rock after another eventually turned into a mountain - of inspiration. Read Christy’s motivational story in our latest blog with Recreation Nova Scotia as part of #TakeTheRoofOffWinter: https://cutt.ly/JjSR48V

As part of our collaboration with Recreation Nova Scotia for #TakeTheRoofOffWinter here is our Winter Tidbit #4: Get outside & bundle up!... Experts agree that spending time in nature is beneficial for our physical and mental well-being. You’ll enjoy the outdoors more if you’re comfortable. Layer clothing so you don’t get cold. Warm wools and thermals are better than synthetic products. Wear a wick-away base layer to keep moisture away from the skin so you’re drier. Remember to cover your extremities. Body heat escapes through the feet and head, so wear a toque and mittens (mittens are warmer than gloves). #TakeTheRoofOffWinter #WinterTidbit #MakeYourMove
