Our fight against HUNGER in Eswatini is making an impact! Five years ago, Egg Farmers of Canada started working with Heart for Africa to build an egg farm that would bring the nutritional power of the humble egg to a place that needs more protein. Five years later an estimated 5 million eggs have been delivered via local church partners and feeding stations throughout rural Eswatini. A very "fruitful" February!

On this day in 2012 our first baby arrived at El Roi Baby Home. We named him Joshua. Joshua just celebrated his 8th birthday! Now there are 261 children that call Project Canaan home. 261 children who have been given HOPE. We could not continue giving these beautiful children a future filled with HOPE without the faithful support of child sponsors. At our current rate, we are receiving about 40 new children each year. Today we welcomed Daniel Bood and Clerico Constantino from the High Commission of Canada in Mozambique to Project Canaan. This was their first visit and they loved what they saw! They were excited to see what the Egg Farmers of Canada have done to help us provide the perfect protein (the humble egg) to 3,500 children every week. We are encouraged and hopeful! So glad our team from Mercy Tech Mission and Canadian Board Member, Cheri Peters, were here to greet them with us! Oh Canada! Our home and native land!

Little Welcome came to us on February 25th, 2019. She was 4.2 lbs at birth. When she arrived she was found to have severe meningitis and possible fetal alcohol syndrome. This is our sweet Shalom! She was born to a young teenage mother who could not care for her. She came to live with us in 2016 at just one-month old. Now three years old Shalom is living at the Emseni Campus. She is a tiny sweet girl. Her friend is Mandy. Mandy likes to pull Shalom with the wagons. They also like to play in their room while others are sleeping. She is in preschool this year. She is a picky eater and always the last one to finish her food. Shalom needs a sponsor! This is Precious! Precious was born on April 5th, 2018, to a mentally disabled mother whose parents were deceased. A good samaritan took the mother in when she was pregnant with Precious.
