The mind is like an iceberg. Outside people may see only a tiny piece of what’s happening but there is so much happening deeper that’s hidden. Teens are struggling and most aren’t talking about it. At the very least, give them this list so they know there is help if they don’t feel comfortable talking to a parent or don’t know what to say. Also, the children’s emergency staff are excellent. Don’t wait to connect your child with a therapist too. Our resilience and mental hea...lth as adults is being challenged and our children don’t have the experience, perspective and coping skills to thrive right now. For those in other parts of Canada -- The Canadian Mental Health Hotline (1-833-456-4566) is also a good resource and they have resources too. https://cmha.ca

International Women’s Day is a time for celebration, reflection and to highlight that we still have so much to do locally and globally to achieve equity! My life purpose is to support one woman each day that honours her and her journey. I’m fortunate to do this through HeartLifted, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs, and for my friends and family, especially my daughters.

You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it. ~ Maya Angelou

Proud to be an International Coaching Federation Member. I also serve on the Edmonton chapter as our Director of Public Relations for 2021 and 2022. Giving back to the coaching community is important to me because I believe ICF-educated coaches and ethical coaching are important for high-impact (and non-harming) experiences that truly support clients.
