Heart's Under Construction Ministries 06.05.2021

Today I heard an awesome message from my church back home. It got me thinking about the calling and purpose that God has for me, and it brought back to my remem...brance some things that God has spoken to me a few years ago after moving here to Weagamow Lake. One of those things really applies to what we are facing today not only in this community but in the world. Many may disagree with this but I truly believe God is using this Covid-19 as a means of bringing His people back to Him. He is drawing His children to Himself by the Holy Spirit. His mandate for me has always been about the spiritual heart of man. He wants nothing more than your heart. If you study out just the heart you will find that over 884 times the heart is referred to either directly or indirectly from the Old Testament to the New Testament, so if God places this much emphasis on the heart maybe we should listen. We see this in Matthew 22:37. It says that we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind and (that means to be completely sold out to him with everything we are.) So the word God spoke to me was when you change your hearts focus your hearts focus will change you. We have to change our hearts perspective concerning the things we are going through and allow the Holy Spirit to use our hearts focus to change us. I wonder how many who profess Christ as their Lord and Saviour have truly changed their hearts focus. Christ must be first and foremost front and Center in our lives. If anything in our lives takes the place of God then our hearts are not where it should be. Remember Christ made a promise to us that would never leave us nor forsake us and that He would stick closer than a brother, so when we think that God has left us even in the midst of all we are going through it’s not God who has left it is us who have left God. Genesis 3: gives us the proof of this. Chapter 2 tells us that God gave Adam instruction about one thing and even told him the consequences of what would happen if he failed to do what God commanded him not to do. (Remember Adam and Eve were in perfect relationship with God and He with them.) In Chapter 3 we see that very thing happened and in verse 8 it says And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the Garden in the cool of the day. You see God came to have a conversation with them to enjoy their presence and strengthen their relationship. But Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the tree of the garden. They seperated themselves from God and their relationship to Him. In other words they walked away from God by choice. So we see in verse 9 the truth of this when The Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you? So my question for you today is where is your heart? Where are you in your relationship with God? Have you walked away but still think your ok. Check your heart, change your perspective and let the Holy Spirit change your direction and lead you back to God. God is always faithful even when we are not. 2Chronicles 7:14 says if my people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven forgive their sin and heal their land. There is a promise in this scripture that if we humble ourselves and change our hearts focus (in other words taking our flesh out of the way) and seek God first repenting of our sins then He will hear our prayers from heaven and will forgive our sins and heal our land. We can trust in God’s promise always. So blessings unto you and May God watch over everyone even in the midst of what you are going through in Jesus name. See more

I was watching a John C. Maxwell video on Facebook and his guest speaker was talking about a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. It made me stop and think because a fixed mindset determines the here and now and the what is where as a growth mindset determines the what is and the what can be. For nine years I promised my wife a shed that we could put the excess stuff we have in our house into. I was afraid to try and afraid to start. My worry was what if it is not good enough,... what if I cannot do it! What if I try, fail and it collapses to the ground because I forgot to do something. I became afraid of the unknown. Here we are nine years later and I finally got the courage to try. See a fixed mindset keeps you bound to the here and now and a growth mindset frees you to accomplish what you thought you could never do! I will post pics of my shed from start to finish as it is right now. Still have some work to do but it is almost finished. Remember I have never built a shed before and frankly did not really know what I was doing. Here are the pics. I hope that this gives encouragement to others who like me are afraid to try something new. Now that I know I can do it, I know that all things are possible when God’s hand is in it. Blessings to everyone in Jesus name. See more

Today was an awesome day outside with my family. Amid all that is going on these days and the reserve here being closed to visitors and doing all they can to make sure the virus does not come here we decided to go ice fishing today. It was fun even though we only caught one walleye it was worth it. Just being out on the ice made me feel closer to the one who created everything. Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Oh and pray for the Northern First Nation Reserves! Some are already posting that people have tested positive for the Covid 19 virus. We really need your prayers right now. Thank you to all who do pray and bless you in Jesus name. Had to throw in the funny face one just to bring a little humour to your day.
