Well everyone, it’s been a week! My vision has been slowly returning, which is awesome, but then my body was like hey, let’s throw a big gallstone in there, you don’t need a gallbladder anyway . So, surgery this week means another week or two without painting. I can’t wait to get back at it, and if you are waiting on a pet portrait, I apologize to no end! Hi everyone! I’m Heather. I thought I’d do a little meet the maker post since I have a few new followers! So, as I mentioned, my name is Heather. I am a self taught wildlife artist and I absolutely love my job. I love painting with a white background as I feel like it creates a calmness that we all need. (Especially right now) I love painting high detail subjects, it makes the viewer get right up close and draws them into the painting. I have a very loving and supportive... husband that I’ve had the pleasure of being married to for 15 years. We’ve been together for almost 20 years which is pretty crazy as I’ve now been with him longer than I lived with my parents! We just recently moved into our dream house in the Georgian Bay area and love it. We have an awesome 12 year old daughter whom I admire so much. She’s zaney, bold, beautiful and confident. She’s WAY cooler than I ever was at 12 or now for that matter lol! I have a slight obsession with candles, soft cozy blankets and coffee. Well, slight may be an understatement. I have two goofy dogs and a very large cat. My husband and I are restoring a wicked awesome 1995 Mazda Miata which I am SO excited for. I’ve wanted a Miata since I first laid eyes on them when I was 12. I can’t wait to bomb around in it this summer. So, that’s a little about me!
