"Rad #backpiece on an #awesome #client . He asked for a #Crusader #Sword with a #Crown of #Thorns around its handle. The Crown of Thorns is dripping #blood, and the blood , as it is dripping, turns into #rosary #beads. I drew The Rosary on his back so that it is swirling around the bottom of the cross. We also incorporated a #Religious symbol of his, into the base of the sword, as well as the #Libra #symbol of "The #Scales", with the two large Scales, hanging from each end of... the Sword Hilt. The entire backpiece is completely freehanded, except for a #tiny #JesusOnTheCross, that I stenciled on the bottom of the rosary. I brought everything together and added movement with wind swirling in the background throughout. I loved creating this #large #custom #backpiece for my client. I especially loved freehanding in the blood drops forming into the #beads of the #rosary. Such a sweet backpiece idea! Totally #Rad.
