Since I am promoting Headshots, I guess I should practice what I preach. So, here is my updated headshot. Sure I feel that I am overweight, my skin is red, my teeth aren't white enough, my hair looks messy, I've got wrinkles and a double chin...but that is what PHOTOSHOP is for!!!! LOL But honestly, look at photos of yourself a few years ago and we will wonder what we were so worried about. This is me, warts and all....well almost, minus what Photoshop took care of! The photo orders for Spruce Glen Public School were delivered to the school today.

With the incredible snowfall we just had and the beautiful weather predicted for Saturday, I decided to take advantage and am doing a limited number of outdoor winter sessions. Photos make great Christmas presents and that wonderful time of year is almost here!

The best part of my career is being able to watch people grow up! I have had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful girl since she was 4! Happy birthday Cass! Keep reaching for the stars. And I might add, there are a few others in this jump that I have got to watch grow up in front of my lens too. Crazy!!! #LOVEMYJOB

Behind the scenes at Photo Day at Muskoka Dance Connections. The reason the photos look so amazing is the attention to detail these ladies provide their dancers. Megan Landry and Tammy Boese put their heart and souls into their studio and it shows.

A huge shout out to these amazing dance teachers and owners of Muskoka Dance Connections, and their beautiful dance graduating daughters. Dance photo day was different from previous ones, but while Covid may have changed the rules on us, it hasn't taken us out of the game!!! I realized driving home from a photo shoot the other day, that I started my photographic career in Muskoka 30 years ago! It began when Don Smith hired me to work on the Muskoka Sun newspaper in 1990. (Back then it was legal to hire two year olds LOL). Then the transition from the newpaper to portrait photography under the amazing guidance of the fantastic Lyle McIntyre. My career has taken me to a lot of amazing places and provided me the opportunity to photograph a lot of am...azing faces! There have been a lot of changes in the past 30 years, most significantly, moving from film to digital. However, what hasn't changed is the desire of my clients to create timeless and priceless portraiture of their family and loved ones. I have heard many times, how can you make a living in photography. I believe you show up and do the best job you can and provide something that people will cherish for years. Something to hang on the wall, that makes you pause for a second as you pass by and remember that moment. I have had the honour of photographing families many times over the years and watched as those families have grown and changed. Thank you to all my past, present and future clients.
