Sharing another portrait commission from the early 2000’s. This is Kramer, a handsome domestic Tabby. As most of you know I paint portraits of companion animals. I had a difficult time photographing Kramer. He didn’t want anything to do with me, preferring to spend his time pressed up against the patio door watching for birds. I knelt down on the floor beside him and waited patiently for him to turn his head towards me. Sometimes it takes an hour just to get one photo. Patien...ce is key and I definitely have a lot of it when it comes to capturing the right moment.
