Anyone interested in boxes of wool as well as a knitting machine? We have a fellow whose wife has passed and he would like to rehome this machine as well as the wool. On this snowy, wet and dreary day I have one of the most uplifting stories of quilting you can imagine! Sandra Hall lost her mom a few months ago and has really struggled as they were very close. Her mom was helping her to learn to quilt. When she passed away Sandra had made one quilt. Well, great niece is on the way and Sandra wanted to make something very special for this new little one. Sandra drafted and made this quilt. Yes...you heard it right. ... For her second ever quilt she drew it up, planned it out and using her own fabrics as well as some of her mom's she created this incredible heirloom. Sandra said that she could feel her mom looking over her shoulder and urging her on. Okay so now I am sitting in my office crying. This is truly a family heirloom to treasure for years. I really hope she can put the story of the quilt into the label so it is never forgotten. If anyone has a contact for Sandra Hall please let me know. She has no idea all of you are so thrilled for her accomplishment! I know she is up the Cariboo somewhere.

Take a look at Sandra Sugden's absolutely stunning quilt! The quilt measures at 103" x 104" and is quilted in an edge to edge design called "Fast Feathers". The pattern is from a magazine from a few years ago but I have Sandra on the hunt for the designer to see if we can order it in. Just incredible, Sandra!!! That lovely Delivery fellow was here and brought boxes. I was so excited! He actually refuses to have eye contact with me anymore and I think he figures I am chasing him or something. This weekend I made the Bucket Bag by Among Brenda's Quilts of this delicious Jason Yenter fabrics! Loved the way this project turned out. Kits available for $81.99 makes all three size buckets. Bosal foam was used to make the shape. find it in the shop or online at www.fabricshelf.ca

Cindy Schellenberg of Seashell Quilting will be here this Friday 25th and Saturday 26th to do class on using the Quilt Path Computer.
