Building permits can now be issued and new construction projects can begin again. No word yet on when public meetings will be held to have planning and other applications heard at a public meeting. Hoping it will be soon!

This pandemic has certainly made for some strange times as well as some unprecedented decisions being made by all levels of our government. Local Municipal Offices and the District of Muskoka Office are closed to the public and all meetings and hearings have been cancelled until further notice. However, we can still do some business, including submission of building and planning applications, by email, phone and electronic submissions in some cases. Most Municipal offices a...lso have drop boxes for receiving letters and packages as well as payment of fees. It would appear that the Ministry's offices are not operating "business as usual", however, I have had some email correspondence from them this week. While no one has any real idea when things will get back to normal, we can still move forwards with planning your project, assessing the zoning requirements and the submitting of applications and paperwork to the appropriate offices. I work from my home and from my car and will be continuing to work while respecting social distancing and, of course, proper hand cleaning at every stop I make. I can prepare applications, both planning and building and those to the MNRF and answer any questions you may have so that when things begin to move again at the Municipal level, we can be ready. I'll be here for anyone who requires my services during this crisis and after. Stay safe and stay well!
