While it may be tempting to just jump right in and start posting, that is a little like starting a road trip without knowing where you are going. This week we will go through a few steps everyone can take to create a clear plan for their social media. With a plan, you know where you are going, and can measure your results on the way to that goal. ... Take the time to set up a social media plan and a calendar so that your social media efforts support specific goals. Today's task is to set those goals. Rather than just trying to get more likes, perhaps you could aim for a higher conversion rate or acquiring new customers. Using the SMART framework is a great way to set goals. This means your goal needs to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound. A goal without a plan is just a wish, so let's spend this week getting set up with a social media plan for your business. Playing the long game Many businesses see the benefits of social media, sign up, build a page, and start posting about their services and products.
