Of course after making biscuits this afternoon..... a comfort food dinner of mac n cheese, fried chicken, coleslaw and biscuits was in order!!

It is with mixed emotion that I am announcing the closing of Heavenly Gourmet Cafe. Our last day open will be Friday May 18. The past 3.5 years have been amazing and I have loved getting to know all of you. Thank you for your continued support over the years. I leave behind some great friends and wonderful memories. As I look forward to embarking on some new adventures I would like to invite you on my Great Summer Culinary Adventure I will be putting a new twist on some classic recipes, touring local farms, hitting up some food festivals and posting some cooking videos. This week we bring back your favourite salad! Our Thai chicken salad! This delicious salad tastes like cheat meal but is healthy and packed full of flavour! Chicken, fresh vegetables, heritage mixed tossed in our house dressing and topped with peanuts and peanuts sauce... What more could you ask for?

Packed full of flavour is the best way to describe this weeks feature. BBQ pork bao topped with Kim chi, cucumber and a spicy mayo inside steam buns served with edamame and carrot and daikon slaw. So what are you waiting for?!
