Heffley Creek Hall 18.01.2021

Hey Heffley - Can you help make some little guys' birthdays memorable by participating in a Birthday Party Parade??? On Sunday, April 19, jump in your car (you can decorate with balloons and signs if you want), meet at the Heffley Creek Store at about 12:55 pm, and then head down to the Zirnhelt Trailer court for about 1:00 pm and honk and wave! Daylan is turning 5 years old and Connor is turning 8 years old. Let's make it special for them!

It has now been confirmed this virus is in our area - in our back yard! PLEASE follow the ordered safety practices for personal safety for all our sakes!

Following City of Kamloops Mayor Ken Christian's address: Effective midnight tonight, all city rec centers, arenas, libraries and public spots are to close - and being a Rec Center in the city limits, our board feels we must follow suit and close the Heffley Creek Hall at midnight for an undetermined amount of time to ALL groups, clubs and activities usually held at the Heffley Creek Hall. There will be notices posted on the doors.... It is a difficult decision, but I think it better to be safe than sorry - if even 1 person were to get sick because we continued to hold activities at our community hall - it could be disastrous. Thank you in advance for understanding. If anyone has any concerns, please directly contact HCCRA Secretary/treasurer and Booking Agent Deb McDougall at [email protected]

We have made the difficult (but we feel right) decision to postpone any large public event scheduled to happen at the Heffley Creek hall. This includes the East Coast Kitchen Party, March 28 Coffeehouse, and April 5 Heffley Creek Community Yard Sale. We are not doing this out of panic, but for the safety and well-being of our community. COVID 19 has just been confirmed in Kelowna - it will not be long until it reaches us here. We want everyone to remain safe, and will keep you posted about upcoming events in late April or May. If anyone has any concerns, please contact me directly. ~ Heffley Creek Hall secretary/treasurer and booking agent Deb McDougall.
