These cuties are the kindest girls I’ve ever met (and I’m not even exaggerating). I had the privilege of teaching them in grade one and they were always helping and doing thoughtful acts of kindness. ~ One of them, I can’t remember if it was Zalee or Zeela, made a special heart (with arms, legs and a smiley face) and decided it would make others happy if she hid it in the class every night so the students could search for it in the morning. The one who found it got to keep ...it on their desk for the day. I used to be a worrier. Like a really big worrier about pretty much everything - the state of the world, poverty, injustice, starving children, the state of the environment...you name it. Needless to say this was in no way helpful and made me into a very stressed out child. ~ This began to change when I was around 8 years old. I remember being sick in the hospital (I had really bad asthma) and my sister gave me a little plastic card from the hospital gift shop. It said Tod...ay is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. ~ Omg, I suddenly realized that if I continued my constant worrying I’d be trapped in a never-ending loop without agency or the possibility for change. ~ To this day (of course) I still have some worries and concerns but I’ve learned to compartmentalize and keep things in perspective. ~ How about you? Shooting with Exodus was such a blast! She was so confident in front of the camera. She smiled, laughed, twirled, posedby the time the sun set I had a ton of amazing pictures of her! I, however, am super shy in front of the camera. Actually, not even shy, more like completely in every way AWKWARD. I freeze up, I smile in a weird way, I don’t know how to stand (or what to do with my hands!!(RIGHT?) Suddenly my hands become giant foreign appendages and they feel out-o...f-place no matter what I do.That’s pretty much why I have no pictures of myself on my page. Can anyone relate? Yesterday (Oct 30th) was my one year kidney transplant anniversary (kidney-versary for short!) - I spent the day feeling grateful and reflecting on what has been such a long (only 4 years since I’ve been off of teaching) and often difficult journey. I am forever thankful for the support of my loved ones and for @toddismycopilot for donating his left kidney which became my right kidney (apparently it doesn’t matter what side they go on). I truly feel reborn, and that this is... my time to shine my light and bring more joy and love to the world. Thank you for following my page and my passion for photography! Love you all! Rock-a bye baby... The love she has for her little sister is the sweetest thing. Finding that other person that compliments you, understands you and brings out the best in you can be so hard to find. Ariana and Devon are a perfect example of when it really clicks. They were so in synch, cuddly and in love that it made the evening feel really magical. As I drove the 20 min back from Kleskun Hills to Grande Prairie, the evening became even more special as the spectacular sunset ranged from orange to pink and purple. It made me feel so grateful for these little moments of peace and beauty.

Ariana and Devon - I love their love story as much as I love their photos!Although they’d known each other since elementary school and were in school together until University, they’d never really spoken much or hung out due to being in different circles of friends and different grades.
