Parents everywhere, it's okay to set your own boundaries and limits - this is what safety looks like. And, I would like to remind you "No" is the world's most complete sentence, we all need to remember to use it a little more often. https://www.cbc.ca//im-a-little-uncomfortable-saying-no-bu

Screen Fatigue!? What is this new nuisance? Did you know... the human brain can only process so much information in a day. Then we need to rest which allows that information to process? AND screens make that process harder! Some things I did to lower my screen fatigue (and frankly, burnout). ... 1. I set beginning and ending times in a day. I don't check email before 9 and I shut it down after 6. 2. Limit social media (IRONY!). I removed most social media apps from my phone to reduce my access. 3. I took ALL work-related emails off my phone. I no longer find myself checking my phone every .0003 seconds to see if I have a new notification. These things aren't always possible for everyone. There are some great time management apps out there that turn off email syncing, lock you out of accounts and even shut off your phone. A little help goes a very long way! More than ever we need to take care of ourselves and our children. Part of that is caring for your brain ... which takes care of your emotions, energy and body.
