I’m sure it’s safe to say that most of us can’t wait to say goodbye to 2020 and on this very last day of a year not to be forgotten, I’m left with a lot of mixed feelings. I do want to focus on the good though and I know a new year won’t change things instantly. The good thing is we will somewhat know what to expect and that makes it a little easier than the massive shock from earlier this year. I’ll continue to be thankful for the health and safety of my family and friends. Here’s to 2021! May you be kinder on us all

K very excitedly announced this morning that there’s only 10 more days till Xmas! All our holiday cards are in the mail now and I’ll be finishing up wrapping gifts this week. Our cousins are trying to setup a virtual dinner, let’s see if we can somehow coordinate 30+ people with kids of all ages and have a virtual miracle! We woke up to a fresh blanket of snow this morning and K is counting down the minutes to recess till she can jump right into all the white fluffiness, meanwhile I’m preparing with an extra large hot cup of tea . I’m not ready for winter yet

Now that there’s snow on the ground, it’s really feeling more festive around here. We all know the holidays won’t be the same as previous years but that’s ok, we’ve realized that we’ve gotten pretty good at just going with whatever comes our way at this point. Although we will miss our annual family gatherings and celebrations with our friends, there’s something about having a nice, small and quiet dinner at home with no usual holiday drama quite appealing , just me here try...ing to look on the bright side of things.
