SAMPLE SALE Every few years we need to clear out all of our Studio samples to make room for new samples. In the past we have hosted a Sample Sale and all the proceeds go to charity. And we are going to do it again this year!! Our samples have been pressed and priced and are on display in the Studio - there are purses and wallets, table runners and placemats, wall hangings, lap quilts and lots of other stuff. The sale begins on Wednesday, November 11 and runs through to December 12th (or until everything is gone - whichever is earlier). Shop early for the best selection. This sale will support the Brantford Christmas Basket campaign and the Brant County SPCA Project Patchwork.

Getting organized was the theme of Friday afternoon. Using the new Sew Organized pattern & frame, Bev, Marg, Pat and Jill had a lot of fun making these cute and functional organizers. And they're not only for organizing your sewing area - think bathroom vanity, makeup, baby's change table, desk, even an outdoor kitchen!

This table runner pattern is known as Simply A Pleasure and the class with Christine, Janice, Tanya, Kathi, Jill, Veronica and Connie was true to its name. Here are some of the gorgeous unique versions they created.

Beautiful, stunning, original, fabulous - there aren't enough words to describe the NCW Squared wallets that Anne, Bev, Jill, Patti, Nancy and Julie created. Absolutely gorgeous!!!!

There was a whole lot of twisting going on last week. Tanya, Alison, Janice, Melanie and Kathi used various sizes of the twister templates to create wonderful table runners and zippered pouches. And they are planning on more twisting!!

The Zip N Go is a 13" Notebook case that isn't just functional but also extremely stylish with lots of professional polish -(you can find the pattern at Moments By Liz). Bev, Anne, Pat, Lorraine, Donna and Gabrielle finished their beautiful cases last week. Outstanding job ladies!!!!

And one more beautiful Alanna Bag. This is Trula's gorgeous creation. Love the fabric and how Trula emphasised the designs with her careful placement and "fussy ctting"

In another trip down our memory lane of past patterns, our creative and talented ladies finished their gorgeous Alanna bags yesterday. Fabulous work Sharon, Nellie, Patti, Susan and Marg - such unique and beautiful bags - enjoy them!

We've been taking a trip down memory lane (but with a twist) for the past couple of weeks. Keitha, Barb, Liz, Pat, Judy and Kathi created these gorgeous Necessary Clutch Wallets (Squared) - the twist created by and shared with us by our good (and super talented) friend Trula J. Great job ladies and many thanks Trula for letting us teach this great adapted design.

We have spent the last few weeks in the Studio learning some new techniques and revisiting some familiar ones. Nellie, Sharon & Sharon created beautiful Gratitude wallets, Lorraine, Kathi & Patti made not only functional but gorgeous Ruler Wraps and Kathi, Bev, Jill, Gabrielle, Anne, Donna & Marg had fun with their original Twisty Zip pouches.

Iron totes were the name of the creative game in the Studio on Saturday. Rhonda, Mary, Jill and SusAnne will certainly be toting their irons to class in fabulous style. (And Rhonda shared a great idea - this little tote can be made up to also safely carry a lot of the machine foot pedals out there - thanks Rhonda - very creative !!!!)

One of the items that we really appreciate our students bringing to class is their own iron but the issue has always been when you want to pack up and head for home - the iron is usually way too hot to go into a normal bag. The solution is an insulated travel tote that has a heat reflective interior surface (pattern by Sisters Common Thread) Last week we had a lot of fun with Donna, Anne, Marg, Melanie, Keitha , Barb, Kathi, Liz, Pat, Bev, Pam and Diane as they created these fantastic iron totes to carry their "hot stuff" to and from class. We will be repeating this class in our fall sessions, so watch your email for our upcoming Fall 2020 Class Schedule.

It has been Christmas in July (and August) in the Studio as Doris, Kathi, Lucy, Veronica and Jean created these fabulous and unique Christmas trees based on the Gandiegow Christmas Tree pattern. Great job ladies!! PS - if you would like to learn how to make a Gandiegow Tree, we will be having another session of classes in the fall.

It was sew exciting!! We worked and planned for a long time, rearranged the entire studio for social distancing, brought in numerous safety protocols and revised our procedures and FINALLY were able to have in-Studio classes this week. It was so wonderful to see familiar faces and to be able to interact in person. Smiles all around.
