Here is our Book of the Month! "I’ve Been Meaning To Tell You" is a simple, yet intimate expression of love from a father to a daughter. It is also a celebration of resiliency, bravery, and hope in the face of hatred or ignorance. Author David Chariandy weaves together stories from his past and present, sharing his lived experiences as a son of Black and South Asian migrants. If you have a chance to read this book, share your thoughts in the comments!

February is Black History Month, and we are kicking it off by honouring Mary Ann Camberton Shadd, recognized as the first Black female newspaper publisher in Canada and one of the first women to complete a law degree. This month we are continually celebrating and learning about black people's contributions to our Canadian society and culture. Keep checking out our blog for more stories on some super inspiring black individuals! #BlackHistoryMonth #blackhistory #blackexcellence #storytelling #writing #inspiration #entrepreneurship #leadership

Here is our highly recommended Book of the Month for January. This true story based on the experiences of author Mark Sakamoto's grandparents during WWII brings to light a part of Canadian history that we reflected on. We were reminded of The age-old adage forgive and forget means different things to different people. Some argue that we must never forget. However, most agree that to be able to move forward, we must forgive. That is what Mark Sakamoto sets out to do in his debut novel. If you get a chance to read it, please share your thoughts with us!
