Corona-virus and Helix Courier Limited - update We are doing our best to deal with the current situation. That includes respecting and cooperating with the restrictions desired by our customers -- maintaining social distancing, the use of disinfectants and wipes and much more. To enable us to serve our clients best, we are temporarily limiting our hours to 8am through 4pm, Monday through Friday. That will enable our drivers to get everything delivered without the need to ho...ld anything in our office overnight. That would be important in case of a possible emergency decree that everything be closed down and would essentially make your incomplete delivery unavailable to you. Whenever possible, please use our internet order entry system to give us your delivery or pickup requests. It is easy to use, means you don't have to make a telephone call and makes it easier to deal with this situation with a reduced staff. If you have any questions, please call and we will do our best to help. Stay safe, everyone!

Ontario-wide shutdown and how it affects Helix Courier Limited. We don't know. Yet. We believe that much of what we do is definitely essential -- runs for medical labs, hospitals, doctors, government offices, etc. But we don't know for sure if officialdom agrees. We are in the process of finding out, so we can inform everyone about what we will be allowed to do We will be here, Tuesday, March 24, 2020, doing business as usual -- until we find out what we can or cannot do.... Service levels and schedules have already changed somewhat, to allow us to continue providing whatever service we can. Hang in there, friends of Helix. We will all make it through this somehow. We are here for you.

Do you remember Little Caesar and the Consuls from back in the 50s and 60s? You will, if you're an antique like me. The band is still around, but I don't think it has any of the original members in it. They sound great, though, and I particularly like this linked song. It reminds me of when I was a young lad. There is a special connection too -- that handsome drummer you see in the photo is Phil Strong. He is one of our great crew at Helix Courier Limited and a super nice guy. At the top of our www.helixcourier.com website is a counter. Today, it says: Servicing London and Area for: 51 Years 0 Months 0 Days. I started Helix while a student at Western, in 1968. The official launch date was September 4. It has been an incredible adventure. I'm still here, 51 years later in 2019, with a great support staff who make everything work. I am very grateful and am looking forward to the next 51 years!! *The photo shown is a promotional piece Helix did in 1975 or so. No, we never actually used horses to deliver parcels. Our first vehicles were actually Volkswagen Beatles.

When Santa tires of cleaning up reindeer poop, he finds another way. Helix Courier Limited is Santa's favourite messenger and courier company. We help him out every year. While Helix is helping Santa right now, Rudolf and the other reindeer are resting up in some secret place north of London, Ontario (Arva or Lucan perhaps?) but will be around for the final Christmas push on Christmas Eve.

Today, September 4, is officially our 50th anniversary here at Helix Courier. We're still eating leftover cake from our celebratory open house a week ago, Moments ago, we got a real treat from our friends at Sifton Properties -- a box of Volkswagen cookies to remind us of our original VW fleet back in 1968.
