Hi everyone - reposting my story here to make it easier to share. I’ve already had a great response and would love to get this out to as many people as possible. Trying to do one small thing in my little corner of the universe to help out in a tough time.
The marketing hype surrounding health care and devices meant to "revolutionize" your life can be deafening at times. We take a look at the most recent trend catching on in contact sports: The Q-Collar. https://www.helixperformance.ca//can-the-q-collar-protect-
THE PATH. We all think we know THE PATH when developing young athletes. But in reality, if it so obvious, everyone would be a professional athlete. In the quest for sporting success, kids are specializing at younger and younger ages, and it is not uncommon for a 6-year old to skate 7-days a week.... These kids are missing out on exposure to other sports that can help reduce overuse injuries and burnout and help improve motor skills that might not obviously transition back to the 'main' sport. Which is why stories like @aleksdimo71 are so amazing to see. Aleks played the highest level of soccer until grade 9, played A hockey until novice, and AA hockey until his LAST year of midget before transitioning to AAA. After an outstanding rookie season with @patriotsjra Aleks has now signed a contract with @voltigeursdrville of the @lhjmq_qmjhl_ We couldn't be happier for Dimo and look forward to the next step in his career. Good luck kid!
Couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations to the nicest guy in hockey, Patrick Piacentini on the championship win! Watching this young man grow and develop over the years has been a real gift. The definition of hard work, perseverance and an open-mind. When you are willing to learn and grow, good things happen.
