While we want to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season, we also wanted to share some tips to keep your teeth healthier during this holiday season. 1. Brush up: make sure to brush and floss your teeth. If you can rush your teeth immediately after eating, consider using a mouthwash to remove food particles and bacteria. 2. Avoid hard candy: candy cane and other hard candies are popular over the holidays, but these hard candies may break a tooth. It’s best to avoid... these treats. 3. Red beats white. When it comes to wine or other teeth staining beverages, try to stick to white and none coloured drinks to avoid having to stain your tooth. 4. Use a nutcracker: Its easy to crack a but with your teeth but that can also come with consequences. A simple way to avoid cracking a tooth, and needing an emergency visit to the dentist, is to always use appropriate nutcrackers. 5. Make a dental appointment: Healthy eating and home oral care can be a start to dental health. However, the holiday season and end of the year is a good time to visit the dentist.
