#SELFIESUNDAY I LOVE when clients send me selfies! It shows their hair in its regular environment and usually shows off how they wear it everyday! Our Saturday makeover included a bright money piece, a blended balayage with lots of depth and pops of light, and a nice sunny blonde glaze to melt it all together!... B R E A T H E Mental health is super important to me as a person and me as a stylist and educator. With that being said, How are you doing? Is there anything I can do to help you?... This is a reminder that we all need once in a while. Especially in hard times like this, we need to be gentle with ourselves and with others. As someone who's neurodivergent where my brain doesn't quite work the same as others, it's very easy for me to get overwhelmed. Overwhelmed usually = crying, be it out of frustration, confusion, anxiety or even joy and surprise. A lot of times my emotions are really big, so to help taper them down, I run through some breathing exercises, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) which helps me break down my thoughts, or doing a small gratitude and grounding check. What do you do to help yourself when you're experiencing something like overwhelm or extreme emotions? G L I T T E R Is glitter your favourite colour? Because it's one of mine! I've been a little quiet on social media because I've been prepping all the custom pieces for my private suite!...
