This week we will still be offering 50% off all USED items excluding the light blue tags that are just going out now. There is still lots of stock available as we can only allow 5 people in at a time. Feel free to call ahead and check if any lineups are starting and also dress warm in case you need to wait for a bit. We ask parents to please leave children at home whenever possible as 1 family alone can sometimes put us at capacity. We truly understand if you have no alternat...ive though so please don't let the lack of childcare keep you away. We hope you all take care and stay safe!

As most of you will have heard by now all nonessential items are only able to be sold online and curbside. We are in the process of turning our windows into a mini shopping center. All items are/will be labeled very clearly with prices and you may call us at 204-582-4334 to arrange a time for curbside pickup if you spot anything you would like to buy. Our large window farthest from the street will have a neatly tucked away free section. If you see something you can use and w...ould enjoy then please call us and arrange for pickup. All free items will be clearly marked FREE. We plan to stock it with kid friendly games, toys, Christmas supplies etc. We will also be placing free books, puzzles etc outside during times when we are working inside, weather permitting. Please help yourself to a few to help pass the time. During this time we hope you all take special care and stay safe ! We have also started an online sales group this week so are already prepared to put many more items on there this weekend. Please consider joining us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/710355226257573/?ref=share

Today's Covid 19 news conference felt as if Dr. Brent Roussin was speaking directly about places like ours. Although there is a good argument that we are essential in the long term it feels silly to say we are essential in the short term. We have expressed many times that the wording needs to be changed within the current bylaws and Dr. Roussin suggested today that will likely be done soon. We will be closing our doors to customers until such time that our government deems it... safe to reopen. We will be on-site several times a week in order to continue our work with shelter and to respond to your questions so don't hesitate to call us at 204-582-4334 and leave a message. We will return calls as soon as possible. In the meantime we are looking at possibly starting some online sales within our Facebook group here. We will likely be pushing many Christmas items first but if there are any types of items you've been needing or wanting please send us a message and we'll do our best to make them available. We will do our best to continue to be viable and we appreciate all of the support you have shown us. Please watch for updates, take care and stay safe :)

We will be reopening today from 10 until 3. According to the guidelines contained in the shutdown order instituted by the government we are allowed to remain open. The information line can be reached at 204-945-3744 or toll free 1-866-626-4862 if you have any questions regarding this matter. Until such time that the order includes us we will continue to keep regular hours of Tues-Sat 10-3. ... We will continue to be vigilant in our approach to guidelines for operating with Covid 19. Therefore please know that masks are required to be worn at all times over both your nose and mouth. Our hand sanitizer is effective against the virus so we insist you use ours upon entrance. We have had too many people requesting to use their own and we don't have time to check each brand and lot number to ensure they are on the approved list or on the recalled list. We know that many of you will be hesitant to shop and we fully respect that so in an effort to make items available with less contact we will be working towards starting an online shopping experience and/ or online auction. Please watch for updates. We would like to thank all of you for your continued support in these trying times. Take care and stay safe!

It appears that several thrift stores are remaining open during this critical level. According to the government of Canada information line we can remain open as long as household items, baby essentials etc are sold we are not forced to close. Although we have been using extreme caution while open we are still a bit uneasy about this but also feel that we have to reopen if not under order to stay closed. We are waiting for something in writing from the province of Manitoba as... a $5000.00 fine would ensure that we would never be able to open again. Rest assured we will keep all of you posted and will once again use extreme care with protocols if we reopen soon.
