Happy Monday! As we roll into December, many of you have changed over to your Winter tires in preparation for snow. But did you know after 50km of driving on those new tires... you should retorque your lug nuts? After the usual stress a vehicle puts on your tires, it’s essential that you retorque your lug nuts to ensure a safe drive. Best part? You can bring it right back to us.. and we’ll do it for free! Good Morning and Happy Friday! Heading into November we will be seeing some colder weather... and what comes with cold weather? SNOW. So here are some winter driving tips to keep you safe on the road in the snow. Firstly, as we’ve posted about many times before, winter tires. Having tires on your vehicle that fit your driving style can be the key to keeping you safe. ... Next, keep some items in your car in case of an emergency. The government of Canada recommends keeping items like non-perishable food, water, extra clothes, a flashlight, snow brush, whistle and road maps in your vehicle for the winter months. Once your vehicle is equipped, it’s up to you to know how to drive in winter conditions; Clear snow and ice off your vehicle before heading out, to maximize visibility. Keep a safe distance from other vehicles. Always come to a stop, slowly to maintain control of your vehicle. And finally, if conditions are bad enough, avoid driving altogether. Rolling into the weekend like #FritterFriday

Tires tires tires... so many options, so many questions. But what’s better than buying new ones? We suggest taking care of the ones you have so you can get as many kilometres out of them as possible. Firstly, invest in a good tire. Choose one that best fits your driving style and your car. (You can check out our post from a few weeks ago or you can call and chat with Christine or Steve.) Secondly, we suggest monitoring your tire pressure and keeping it at the appropriate PS...I. (This can be found on your drivers door or in your owners manual.) Thirdly, we recommend that you retorque your lug nuts after 100km of having your tires off. This prevents loosening lug nuts.
