GOING THAT EXTRA MILE! Our newest CDA, Rowan King, was busy at work teaching oral rhymes with a little friend today! HOW? By matching bat wings, of course! WHY? Because he just LOVES bats! #everydayishalloween bat hat cat sat Children who have phonological awareness are able to identify and make oral rhymes, can clap out the number of syllables in a word, & can recognize words with the same initial sounds like 'cat' and 'corn’.... Students at risk for reading difficulty often have lower levels of phonological awareness and phonemic awareness than their classmates. #earlyliteracy #soundplay #littlereaders
