Tomorrow is Tie Dye Day.

There has been a few people wondering about school pictures. Right now board regulations do not allow photographers to enter the buildings. Lifetouch has reached out and said they have trimmed out their staff but if the board reevaluates their decisions they have the protocols in place to come to take photos. So Im not sure when or even if there may be school photos.

K-5 running will go ahead this evening at 2:30 as long as it stays like this. If it starts to pour we will cancel at 2:30 but right now it looks like a go.

There are a lot of questions coming about sickness, colds and flus and how long are we expecting children to be kept out of school. We can not advise parents medical advice. All the information we can give is complete the screening forms and follow the advice of public health and the chief medical officer.

Curriculum letters will be sent home with the students on Friday. We are certainly going to miss seeing the parents on curriculum night. Each envelope will have curriculum outlines for your child for the school year 20-21. These are documents outlining what your child will be covering this year in each given course. The district has provided PL to teachers regarding curriculum outcomes missed from the shut down and a plan is in place to ensure the best education for all the ...students. I didnt print the safe return to school document however, I encourage you all to read that document as it outlines the plans and protocols that govern our school year. There will also be a couple forms in there that we will need returned to the school no later then Wednesday. There is a media policy form that each student must sign in order to use technology here at the school. So please get that sent back ASAP. Reminder as well to please send in media release forms ASAP. Just a reminder that If the bus stop sign is out. Then you can not pass the bus. That means there are students in transit.

Today ran pretty smoothly and before we know it this will be our new normal. I want to commend the students, they all were very diligent wearing their masks around the hallways and were really good at following the protocols. Excellent!!!! I encourage all parents to call me at the school with any issues or questions you have. Even some suggestions that could help us out are welcomed. There is a lot of communication coming out, be sure to check your email, answering machines,... caller Id and the FaceBook pages. I have left voicemails about busing seats. Parents check your emails. I sent a little surprise. Some students werent comfortable getting their photos taken and we didnt push them and thats ok too.

We didnt get our shipment of mask from the district, its on the way. However, dont panic the mask making group here in Cartwright made mask for all k - 12 students and staff. And K-5 some even have personalization. Big thanks to all involved. This community always got our backs.

Breakfast Bins won't start until a later date.

Mask are to be worn in common areas, however our desk are spread out, they don't need to be worn in the classrooms.

Be sure to bring recess and lunch if you are staying in.

Please remember to bring a filled water bottle to help with congestion at the water coolers.

No shoes will be able to be stored in the porch tomorrow. Please store your shoes in your lockers.

Remember - You must wear a mask on the bus. - You must sit in the seat with the number I gave you. - If you don't know your number Doug will be able to give it to you.

Tomorrow is a big day!!! Back to school year 2020-2021. There are some new things to consider. However, rest assure we will get through them together. I sent home an information letter and the screening questionnaire in peoples mail boxes on Friday as well as emailed them to all parents who have en email on file. Things change at a minutes notice and we will work hard to get all Information out there as soon as we can. I picked out a few reminders that I thought was importan...t for everyone. Students will be spending as much time in their own classrooms as possible to avoid movement. Teachers will be moving to the childs classroom. Homeroom classrooms are: K/1 - Mrs. Broomfield 2/3 - Ms. Robin Janes 4/5 - Ola Andersan 6/7 - Mr. Spencers 8/9 - Mr. Bakers 10-12 - Mr. Tulk Homeroom will be extended for an hour tomorrow morning to go through the new plans and protocols that students will have to get use to. All students are required to wear a mask on the bus. Students are also required to sit in the seat number they have been given. The bus can only take busing students. There will be no special circumstances bus drop offs. 7-12 students will wear a mask whenever social distancing can not take place. There will be no parents allowed to enter the school with the exception of the kindergarten parents. Kids must have their recess with them. There will be no drop off recess. Students are permitted to go home for lunch or they can stay in school. They must bring a packed lunch if they are staying in school. There will be no drop of if food. There will be no microwave usage. Be ready to learn outside. Please be patient and kind we are all working hard to get through this together.
