How did I become a poet? To answer that I will wait for my memoir moment. Here is a poem I dedicate to Humadha A Gaffar, a young mother and a courageous poetess who writes in Tamil. I regularly read her stimulating free verses and enj...oy. In fact, this morning too I read one of her poems and consider this Muslim preacher's daughter as a shining ... distant star he was like that gliding eagle high above far, farther away from the frenzied flock of little sparrows stupid and fretting sweating the small stuff and silly substance he saw his goal as that of a lone snowy owl far apart from the flying frightened flock the night creature had telescope eyes and night vision to rid rodents that rot life he is that poet singular, and prophetic too singing not for juvenile strollers neither dancing for cheap applauses shinning, fearlessly like that distant star henry victor

dominant self i understood not whether it is in nature or, in my psyche... overflowing with prejudices from which emanates an immoral, ignorant fantasy for comfort and convenience for the dominant self a trail, also, i see in animals acquisitively hungry and authoritatively roam with impulse to demolish all that contributes to their own inner insecurity a simplistic solution indeed! dismantling opposition that challenges my authority and infallibility with no space for forms of inclusive thought discerning a threat in alternative attires with implications to slow but, eventually, sure death to self henry victor

round rocks i picked five round rocks not specially... the best but surely beaten by the frost over the grandmother nature’s frocks these rocks i know are the least from valleys of the Canadian Rockies but them, i want to remind me, the five least of those bygone in my world of success success nay! crumbs i have eaten like those smelly sheep with bighorn, scavenging the remnants from the ground of uneven rocks henry victor
