We were so pleased to visit with John Cooper today! He braved the cooler temps and rain to visit Henry’s on our last weekend of the season. John is a special customer of Henry’s. For many years he visited us by seaplane, as he is a strong supporter and advocate for this Georgian Bay destination and tradition. Thank you for visiting John and Denise. Some days are just so much fun, and special. That day was today. Due to the pandemic this year, many of our staff were not able to celebrate their graduations/proms. Experiencing a long spring and summer trying to organize their post secondary education plans. As the summer comes to an end, we decided to celebrate the educational success of our student staff and the end of a busy, different summer, IN STYLE! ... We had our first Henry’s Prom! We celebrated as a staff family, with physical distancing guidelines in place. Ted and I feel so lucky to celebrate each one of these staff members. They have all worked so hard this year. Under different stresses and circumstances, than any other year. Each one of our employees have had to make difficult decisions and change plans for the next year. If you’re in visiting us over the next week, make sure to ask our staff what their next adventure is, and wish them well. Proud of this group. . . As our season comes to an end, we are also celebrating an era for Peter Conacher. Peter has been a Georgian Bay enthusiast for over 70 years. He bought his cottage when he was only 18 and has been part of the Sans Souci community for over 70 years. This year, he and his wife Ann sold their cottage. Tuesday evening we celebrated Peter and Ann to wish them well. We look forward to serving them again next year when they are visiting friends and family. Peter is recognized ...for his outstanding NHL career amidst being such a kind, thoughtful gentleman. Thank you Peter and Ann for your support and encouragement over the last 3 years. Happy Thursday friends!! Beginning tomorrow, July 24, our area’s Public Health has issued a mandate for face coverings in all enclosed spaces. Here at Henry’s, we continue to serve outside at our patio and our exterior tent patio. Although, our bathrooms are an enclosed space and our gift store. Therefore we are requesting all customers to present with a face covering. We recognize that not everyone can wear a face covering due to medical or religious beliefs. We wil...l be relying on you friends to make the best judgement in this situation. We ask for your patience and understanding. Just as our lillies are blooming so is Ontario!!! This Friday July 17th many areas of Ontario are moving into Stage 3 of recovery for our provincial economy! We are excited for the progress but have decided as a team to continue with our current processes and will not be opening our dining room for the safety of our staff and patrons. Don’t worry though! Our restaurant will continue to serve you on our exterior patio tent or outside at one of our service picnic tables.
