To all members, adherents and supporters of Hensall United Church, Your church council continues to meet on a monthly basis. In light of covid, we use Zoom so o...ur meetings are remote. We’d like to update everyone on what transpired at or November 12 meeting: The cases of covid are spiking in Ontario and because of this the council has decided that Sunday services will remain suspended until such time as it is deemed safe to reopen. We are greatly disappointed also that our annual Christmas dinner will also be cancelled for this year. Such an event would have the potential to spread the virus so we believe our decision is prudent to protect the safety of all. Your church council would like to thank the many people who continue to contribute to the church financially through donations and by supporting our fund raising efforts. The drive-through pork chop supper, Elmira chicken orders and the bag lunches have all been successful. Donations and fund raising have kept your church in a strong financial position thus far. Council also moved to make a donation of one thousand dollars to the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada. Gifts to Mission & Service help people in need in Canada and around the world by providing access to food, housing, and employment support. As well, collection is underway for items to be donated to the women’s shelter.Hensall United Church has also made donations of food to those in need. If anyone is in need of pastoral care or needs to contact the church for any reason, please leave a message on our answering service at 519-262-2935. Check us out on Facebook too where virtual Sunday services are posted thanks to our friends at Main Street United in Mitchell and Minister Tom Dunbar. Council will meet next on December 3, 7 pm via Zoom.

We as a church community are still needing to do fundraising to support our church community. We have decided to go ahead with another Elmira Chicken fundraiser.... Orders will be due back to the church by November 12, 4:30-5:30. Pick up is November 28 after 1pm. At this time, however, all activities, including rental of the church halls, continue to be suspended until the Fall, when we will once again reassess the current COVID situation.... Dear HCCC family and friends, As we continue to navigate through these unique and challenging times, please know you are in our thoughts and prayers, and we miss you as much as you miss us! Looking for a space to host an event? The Hensall Community Christian Church (HCCC) is a beautiful building with the following space for rental: Board Room - up to 20 people... Fellowship Hall - up to 60 people (with Kitchen access) Chiselhurst Room - up to 120 people (with Kitchen access) Catering also available upon request. The sanctuary has the capacity hold 300 worshipers. It has a beautiful balcony that overlooks the sanctuary as well as a pipe organ, piano and a quaint choir loft. The entire building is wheelchair accessible with elevator access to the upstairs. WiFi access throughout the building.
