Hepatitis C Project: West Kootenay Boundary 09.02.2021

Join us Tuesday May 31 for the ANKORS Loving Bowls Luncheon at the Human Room, where you will pick out a beautiful bowl donated by a local artisan, fill it with gorgeous food from Nelson's local restaurants, be serenaded by Jesse Lee and Amberstaar, win fun door prizes from local stores, and learn more about the work ANKORS does in the Kootenay Boundary. All funds raised will be put in the ANKORS Foundation Fund for people in the Kootenay Boundary living with Hepatitis C. Money from this fund is used for vitamin supplements, transportation costs, groceries and other medical expenses. Tuesday May 31 12:00 - 2:30

ANKORS is ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for an AIDS WALK COORDINATOR The AIDS WALK Coordinator will coordinate, develop and organize aspects of the 2016 AIDS Walk in Nelson. The AIDS WALK is the premier fundraising event of the year to support people living with HIV/AIDS in the region. The job includes the organization of volunteers, event site, media, entertainment, recruitment of walkers, teams and speakers, food and donations for prizes and silent auction. Experience with event p...lanning, media communications and fundraising are an asset. 32hrs/wk at $14/hr. Start date: Immediate. End date: August 31 st This job opportunity is supported by Service Canada. In order to qualify for this job position, you must have been registered as a full-time student this past academic year and you must intend to return to school in September. We are looking for a few people to join us for a creative sewing session at the Nelson Stitch Lab - this will be in preparation for our annual Loving Bowls Fund...raiser event and we will be making the recycled fibre, upcycled handbags that people take their loving bowl home in.
