Personal Photography When I was a student at Concordia there was always this one lil hidden gem I used to go to study at or even unwind on a Thursday night. If you weren’t looking & walking down Crescent you’d for sure miss it. Just by the edge of the wall there is a lil Egyptian hookah lounge called Café Toot. It was an old, worn, faded place that emanated comfort, & the hard earned success of the Western promise of a better life. (Tbh Toot feels like a lost time capsule ...of a simpler time). As you pass through the third door questioning to yourself if this place ever existed at all, you’ll be met by a quiet but endearing silence followed by a well-lived wrinkled smile and soft welcome. Although English or French was never their forté, your every need was attended to with observant love & care. Don’t expect desserts but if you’re lucky you’ll find yourself politely refusing a flan. There aren’t many places like this in Montréal, & it’s places like these that truly make me curious about cultural travelling & the experience of kindness. The world is changing so fast & sometimes it’s comforting to know that some of the places you love most stay the same. New generations of businesses are rolling in and with the pandemic I sometimes wonder about those 23 hard years of sacrifice & service. #supportyoursmalllocalbusinesses p.s. if you ever visit & they’re still open after this lockdown. They’re pretty old school, so keep some cash on hand.

Event Photography A caption about overcoming criticism & learning a new skill. These are re-edits from a time when I couldn’t even afford a single month of Lightroom. When I first started photography in 2018 I had a some friends who were critically unhelpful & unsupportive of my growth. One even said said I shouldn’t even try, & told me to put the camera down. It hurt, I believed it & stopped for a bit & lost momentum. To all who want to pick up a new skill. Focus on making... yourself proud of your accomplishments; no matter how incremental they are. You will make mistakes, your crafts will suck & that’s cool keep going! Most importantly you will learn & build character! Be patient, considerate, kind, take the chances & give it your best shot! Though these shots are old, I’m on a mission to bring editing justice to all my old works! If you would like helpful & constructive feedback always feel open to DM me. Circa, 2018. Portrait Photography One of the best perks of being based in Montreal is the unique opportunities of interacting with the diverse lifestyles of its industries & people. For me, that means having fun experimenting with different moods of photography! Feeling the context to get the right edit for the shot. Circa, 2020. #ReEdit... Model: @you_happy_now_ See more
